Blue Magic Scuba is the new name of what was formerly Scuba Staff Divers, a company that has been providing excellent diving and snorkeling adventures in Cozumel for over 12 years. We are two divers from Northern California, Joyce Mustin and Mark Gaterud, who fell in love with the beauty of Cozumel’s underwater world on our first dive vacation to the island. After many trips to the island, we found the opportunity to purchase the boats and operations of Scuba Staff Divers. We changed the company’s name to Blue Magic Scuba to better describe our dive experiences in Cozumel.

Like Jacques Cousteau and the crew of the Calypso, we were mesmerized by those same warm waters, incredible visibility, majestic corals, colorful sponges and abundant sea life of the myriad reefs of Cozumel. Our goal at Blue Magic Scuba is to share the excitement and adventure of diving and snorkeling in Cozumel while providing you with a safe and comfortable experience.

You can expect to be treated as part of our family. We want you to become a friend who would like to return to dive with us as soon and as often as you possibly can.

All of our dive masters have many years of experience diving the reefs. They will lead you on dives that maximize your enjoyment of the incredible riches of the Marine Park while ensuring your safety. We offer dive trips individualized to your needs to make sure that no matter what your experience level - beginner to veteran diver - each and every one of your dives is an enjoyable experience to remember.

We take no more than six, eight or ten divers on our small, fast boats. We offer computer and multi-level diving to maximize your bottom time and keep you well within your no-decompression limits. Here are just a few of the other services you can expect when diving with Blue Magic Scuba:

• Two tank morning, afternoon and twilight dives.

• Professional PADI instruction for courses and certifications from Discover Scuba through advanced and specialty diving courses.
• Fully equipped boats with canopies for shade, oxygen, first aid kits, and marine radios
• A staff dedicated to conservation and preserving the reefs of Cozumel as well as the requisite training to handle any dive emergency
• Nitrox (EAN 32 and 36%) as well as 100 cubic foot aluminum tanks (extra charges for each).
