Not sure if Scuba diving is for you? Think it’s cool, but only for others? You can try diving without committing to a full certification course through our “Discover Scuba Diving” program.
In just a few short hours you will experience a real open water dive!!
Blue Magic Scuba offers two exciting programs that allow you to find out what it is like to breath underwater and swim untethered under the sea!! In just a half day you can learn the basics of SCUBA and gain the confidence you always knew you had to join the ranks of adventurers and DIVERS.
Course
Discover Scuba Diving PLUS
Discover Scuba Diving PLUS (4-5 hours, US$145 or 2610 Pesos, includes all equipment):
This is an exciting program for first time divers. This two-dive experience is much more than the standard “resort course”.
Your adventure begins with a brief 20-30 minutes in our classroom where your instructor explains the complete experience in detail and demonstrates the skills you will learn. After your classroom experience, we fit you with all the needed equipment and then we are off to one of our boats or the beach for your first dive!
A few more minutes of review and into the water with your instructor to practice what you learned. Once you are ready, your instructor will guide you to the reef where you will make your first dive right there. After a brief surface interval you will board our boat and we will take you to one of Cozumel’s world famous reefs where, with the guidance of the instructor, we enter the water and begin our second exciting dive!! Your first “REAL” Open Water Dive.
Here you will meet many species of corals, colorful tropical fish and other marine life. Our instructors will be with you at all times to supervise and help, taking care that everyone is comfortable, safe, and happy. On this dive we never exceed 12 meters (40 feet) of depth and conform to all PADI standards.

Discover Scuba
Discover Scuba Diving (2-3 hours, US$85 or 1530 Pesos, including all equipment):
Discover Scuba Diving (sometimes called “Resort Course”) is a shortened version of our popular Discover Scuba Diving PLUS offering just a single shore dive but introducing you to all the wonders of the sub-marine world. Your adventure begins with a brief 20 minutes in our classroom where the instructor explains the complete experience in detail and demonstrates the skills you will learn. After our classroom experience, we fit our guests with all the needed equipment and then we are off to the beach where we will do our first dive. A few more minutes of review and into the water to practice what you learned. Once you are ready, you will continue and take you on your first dive right off the beach, always with our instructor right there beside you!!
NOTE: While Discover Scuba and Discover Scuba PLUS are not a certification courses, they do allow you to continue to dive in the future under the supervision of a trained dive professional!
