Policy, Terms & Conditions

If you contact us through our online reservation request, you will receive an automated reply letting you know that we received your request. Within 24 hours at most, you will receive another, personal response to your request.  We will also ask for a deposit at this time. Without a deposit, we cannot guarantee your reservation.

– For single day divers, a deposit of $50 per person minimum is required to secure your reservation.

– For multi-day packages, a deposit of 25% or $95 minimum is required to secure your reservations.

-Deposits can be made via PayPal by clicking the PayPal link on our home page or at the bottom of the reservations page. You can use all major credit cards to pay through PayPal.

All dives with Blue Magic Scuba include:

  • 80 cubic foot aluminum tanks, weights and belts, bottled water, fruit and snacks.
  • In-water Divemaster(s).
  • Valet gear service which includes rinsing and storage each day for those diving  2 or more days with us.
  • Divers are grouped together based on skill and experience level allowing for longer and more enjoyable dives. Bottom times are based individual air consumption.
  • Fast boats, with no more than 6 or 8 divers per group.
  • All boats are equipped with sun canopies for shade, first aid kits, marine radios, and oxygen.

– Nitrox (EAN 32 or 36) is available for $10 per tank

– 100 cubic foot tanks are available at $5 per tank, 60 cubic feet tanks (pony) available on request at no charge.

Check-In Requirements/Procedures

We request that if possible, you check in with us the afternoon prior to your first dive.

If your arrival in Cozumel is delayed please contact us.

Guests arriving by cruise ship or from the mainland will be given meeting instructions.

At check-in, you will need to bring your certification card and final payment for your scheduled dives.

Our shop hours are:

Monday through Saturday  – 8:00am until 8:00pm

Sunday – 8:00am until 5:00pm

Payment of Final Balance

Final balance is due at check-in for all reserved and confirmed dives. We prefer payment in cash: US dollars, Mexican Pesos or Euros.

Master Card/Visa/American Express cards are welcome with a 4% bank fee.

Dive Insurance

We recommend scuba diving insurance such as Divers Alert Network (DAN) www.diversalertnetwork.org  You should purchase this before your arrival in Cozumel.

Blue Magic Scuba Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations received up to 14 days prior to arrival, a full refund of your deposit (less a 5% service fee) will be made.
  • Cancellations received 7 days prior to arrival, a refund of 50% will be made.
  • Cancelations received less than 7 days prior to arrival will forfeit their deposit.
  • Cancelation by groups received 60 days prior to arrival; a full refund of your deposit (less a 5% service fee) will be made.
  • Cancellations by groups received 45-30 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations by groups received 29 days or less prior to arrival will forfeit their deposit.

Canceling Individual Dives while on Cozumel

Changes to your confirmed schedule can only be accommodated provided that your space can be filled and we have availability on the day you wish to reschedule.

We are not responsible for any dives cancelled by the customer (illness, seasickness, inability to equalize, ear problems, hangovers, etc.)

If any dives are cancelled due to weather conditions and/or port closure by the Harbor Master, we will offer to reschedule your missed dives (based on availability), issue a dive credit for your next visit, or at our option, issue a full refund for missed dives due to weather.

Canceling Courses while on Cozumel

Once a course has begun, no refunds will be made.

Modification of the schedule of a Course due to course requirements not met by a Student

All courses are performance-based, not time-based.

  • An Additional cost of 50 USD per student per day will be applied if a Student requires extra days of confined water training or shore training.
  • An Additional cost of 100 USD per student per day will be applied if a Student requires extra boat trip.

The instructor will evaluate each Student’s readiness and progress before allowing them to move on with their next step; this is done in order to prioritize safety and ensure that all Students meet the necessary requirements before continuing further in their courses.

Professional courses as Divemaster, IDC and MSDT

The deposit is not refundable.
